Kyana Kitt

Kyana is an experienced RN and upcoming expat with two teens. Having been bitten by the travel bug at the age of 15 during her trip to St. Petersburg, Russia, she knew that traveling would be a huge part of her life. As such, when her teens were at an appropriate age (8 & 9 respectively), she began the conversation with them. In 2023, they had an opportunity to live in Medellin, Colombia for several months, leading her teens to get bitten by the travel bug, too.

Experiencing a robust variety of countries, living situations, and cultures provided Kyana with a perspective that she carries in her life and work. This broadening of perspective extends to her teens and the way they all choose to walk in the world. Moving with her teens (nationally and internationally) over 10 times in the last 18 months has built resilience, connected her and her teens deeply, and showcased each of their gifts/strengths in ways that their comfort zones never would have allowed.

They now understand that security, safety, and community start within and extend outwards. They trust each other deeply due to each of them stepping forward in their strengths when the time called for it, while the others followed suit. Kyana has a new found respect for her teens, trusts their decision making, and includes them in all the family decisions.
